My iphone used to be 1.1.4 (8g) but my itunes program asked me to do an update and Now only shows the itunes cd icon and the white use plug I cannot do anything what I should I do?

ay mate..i fixed it...it works now..i had to restore it then do the whole thing again...the only different thing is i put the thing on the last tab all the way to the end...n then it worked and the reception worked n everything
