His adaptations of Jane Austen novels made me start reading them and now I absolutely LOVE them. Sense and Sensibility is my favorite of all his movies, I adore them all.

Invent scenes!!! Why would you ruin Austen's witty use of the English language? Trim the dialogue down! Jane Austen's dialogue makes her novels wonderful.A girlfriend recommended this new adaptation movie of Jane Austen's books, but I truly enjoyed the original movies; they stay true to Austen's novels. Jane Austen's novels remain some of the most beloved books because of their wit and charm. Don't change a good thing when you see it.M.SVancouver

I can't say I really like him. Something wrong about him... Although I'm a big fan of his P&P.

Yes, and why ruin Jane Austen's beautiful language. I'm so glad Andrew Davies didn't try to modernize the language. This would've ruined it for sure!

FIVE months of this stuff that ALL looks and sounds the same?A great way to turn the public off to the series, and PBS in general.Just one of the reasons I no longer "pledge."
