Not to mention later big band nostaglia of thwe 1990s complete IGNORED Vaughn. Like RUss Morgan (one of whose I persued here), Eddy Howard, Rudy Vallee and Louis Armstrong, a vocalist as much as a maestro. Of course the voice made Vaughn Monroe much more of an AUDIO presence, and I'd say that radio and records accounted as much as anything for his popularity.

Back when music was music. I miss the better, simpler times.

I never thought of this as a Dance song.

Ah, the memories this brings. I'm 70 and bought this 45 RPM and Dance Ballernia Dance and play them forever. Someone mentioned the change in lyric -- it was FAME in the recording.

This was from a 1960's TV series that presented singers and bands in 30 minute presentations. The orginal is from a kinescope (film) of the show...which did appear later on a prerecorded VHS tape.

I have to repeat Fredland's question: Where did you get this? They didn't have VCR's then.
