I saw the movie before I read the book, yet, I loved it with my entire heart... And I also think he has made the characters a lot like how Tolkien would want them! THIS IS AN EPIC BOOK THAT HAD TO BE FILMATISED!!

He reduced the characters to cardboard cutouts. I hate what he did to Gimli. Now every kid who's seen those films will enjoy the book less, because they know the story. Why could the prick just get his own ideas, rather than butchering a classic?

And who's idea did PJ "butch"?He based the three movies on J.R.R. Tolkiens fantastic works and the results were three perfect movies, that is way ahead of Star wars!:)

This is absolutely brilliant does nobody else see the poor child like plots to the star wars films. George Lucas is a terrible director and i honestly believe this wouldnt be far from the truth if he had directed lotr. Peter Jackson rules Lotr kicks Star wars noob ass

George isn't the worst director EVER, but he really needs to stop. I have had it with all these Star Wars computer animated movies and spinoff shows. Look Star Wars is okay, but it should be dropped at least for awhile right? But George won't let go! Peter JAckson balanced great effects AND a great story with a spectacular cast and made it work. And he can let things go. George can't. I don't hate George overall but if he made this there would be no hope for this series to properly be captured.
