I am on a full time aeronautical engineering course NVQ; my instructor (who has a pilot's licence and has been an engineer for about 40 years) told me that a member of the ground crew removed some kind of pin in the Olio leg of the nose gear. this was perfectly normal and allows tow vehicles to turn the plane round eccessive angles which the pilot cannot. Anyway he forgot to insert it back in. this allowed the wheel to turn freely in the Olio leg. Put it this way HE'S IN BIG TROUBLE!!!
