sorry man must have been a rough day yesterday. I actually know little about this kind of music but sometimes it knocks me into tommorow. unlike rock this thing doesn have a "good part" it goes on an on giving you shivers. Seeing this live must be something.

I agree that many people have the wrong view toward classical music, due in no small part to the learned, high, eloquent (like you said), and pretentious way that classical musicians describe the music.I'm not attacking alejhombre here; I'm simply stating a view of mine. The first movement is the highest realization of orchestral music I've ever heard. How it builds on a two-note melodic idea...and builds again. It's like first revelation in adolescence, vibrant full adulthood and finally those funereal bassoons. The perfection of the sotto voce wind parts against the full orchestra crecendos. And the use of pizzicato! Too great for criticism, should be known well to all in western culture.
