fring works great..use skype thru wifi or 3g and its amazing as long as your speeds are adequate

The video didn't say if the Fring contact was via the mobile network (data) or via wifi. I suspect it was the former. SIP is usually very good. Comparing it with toytown Skype isn't a proper comparison since,AFAIK,the Skype on 'Three' isn't really Skype to Skype it is a callback system,i.e. once the call is initiated there is a call made back to the calling mobile to complete the connection. Further, the data usage for a real Skype to Skype call is much greater than for SIP.
